
About Festival
The third Katara Oud Festival, which will be held from April 23 to 26, 2019, with the participation of the world’s leading players, as well as the presence of well-known oud makers in this field, in order to preserve the legacy of this ancient oriental musical instrument.
Four musical nights have been allocated and will be held at the Opera House Theater in Katara, in the presence of artists, media and audiences interested in this instrument. The Arab Muslim thinker (Al-Kindi) was chosen as a character for this edition of the festival for his role and great contributions in enriching human thought and culture.
Due to the presence of more than (35) creative people in the field of music and oud making, from various countries in the world (13 countries (Qatar, Iraq, Kuwait, Jordan, Turkey, Lebanon, Tunisia, Oman, Greece, Yemen, Syria, Iran – Morocco).
